#techtiptuesday - Using Google Slides to Organize Multiple Elementary Music Classes
In this video, you'll see how I schedule a day filled with various grade levels of music classes using Google Slides.
Benefits:
Create an organized outline featuring videos, lyrics, images, manipulatives, and more.
Display one activity per slide to easily track what comes next.
Open all relevant tabs at the start of the day.
Transition to the next tab as one class departs and another arrives.
If you have a few minutes between classes, this setup allows time for a quick trip to the copier or restroom.
Having everything prepared helps you avoid turning your back on the students during transitions, especially if you operate the slideshow with a remote or Bluetooth keyboard or mouse.
If you didn't complete an activity, you can move that slide to the top to remind yourself to start with it the next time you see the students.
Web-based Alternatives to Google Slides
If Google Slides isn't accessible, I highly recommend Canva for Education (https://www.canva.com/education/). It allows you to create a similar outline with videos, lyrics, images, manipulatives, and more using one of their educational presentation templates. You can open each Canva presentation as a separate tab for each class you teach throughout the day.
